Please join the Foreign Policy Association on Thursday, May 18th at PricewaterhouseCoopers (300 Madison Avenue, 42nd Street) from 6:00pm to 8:00pm for FPA's Global Economic Outlook Panel. We are delighted to be joined by Richard Bernstein, Chief Executive Officer and Chief Investment Officer at Richard Bernstein Advisors LLC and Cameron Dawson, Chief Investment Officer at NewEdge Wealth.     • Cameron Dawson - Panelist
      Chief Investment Officer, NewEdge Wealth

      As Chief Investment Officer, Cameron helps lead the development of NewEdge Wealth’s investment themes, strategies, and market views, while also working closely with the firm’s advisors and clients.

      Prior to joining NewEdge Wealth, Cameron was the Chief Market Strategist at Fieldpoint Private Securities and a Senior Equity Analyst at Bank of America. Throughout her career, she has developed extensive experience in macroeconomics and implementing forward-thinking investment themes and asset allocation strategies. She is widely known for her differentiated and thoughtful financial commentary and frequently appears on Bloomberg, CNBC, and Fox Business, among many others. Additionally, Cameron is a Chartered Financial Analyst® (CFA®) and a former board member of the CFA Society® of Orlando.

      A Florida native, Cameron earned her bachelor’s degree and MBA from Rollins College in Orlando. In her spare time, she enjoys practicing yoga, reading and dabbling in her previous talents as a professional ballet dancer.

    • Thomas B. Michaud - Moderator
      President & CEO, KBW

      Tom Michaud serves as President and Chief Executive Officer of Keefe, Bruyette & Woods (KBW), an investment bank specializing in the financial services sector. Since joining the firm in 1986 as a credit analyst trainee, he has spent 36 years building the KBW franchise and leading many of its businesses. Tom co-led the firm's rebuilding efforts following 9/11 and was instrumental in launching the firm’s IPO in 2006

      Tom was named Chief Executive Officer in October 2011, assuming direction of all business lines in the United States and Europe. Under his leadership, KBW has evolved into the nation’s premier investment bank to the financial services industry. The company is routinely recognized for its leadership in mergers & acquisitions, capital raising, and equity research. Tom maintains strong personal relationships with leading industry executives, policy makers, and institutional investors and has been instrumental in executing many of KBW’s largest transactions. More recently, Tom has become an authority on the digitalization of banking and the emergence of fintech.

      In February 2013, Tom led the firm’s merger into Stifel Financial Corp (NYSE: SF). KBW is now a wholly owned subsidiary of Stifel and Tom serves as Senior Vice President and a member of Stifel’s Institutional Group Management Committee.

      Tom is a member of the Board of Directors of 9/11 Day, the nonprofit organization that established and leads the September 11 National Day of Service and Remembrance, the nation’s largest annual day of charitable engagement. He also serves on the Board of the Foreign Policy Association of New York and the Board of Leaders of the Marshall School of Business at the University of Southern California.

      Tom is a graduate of Middlebury College where he studied Economics and played baseball. Early in his career, Tom attended night school and earned an MBA from NYU's Stern School of Business.

    • Richard Bernstein - Panelist
      CEO & CIO, Bernstein Advisors LLC

      Mr. Bernstein founded Richard Bernstein Advisors LLC (RBA) in 2009. As CIO, Mr. Bernstein oversees the firm’s Investment Committee which manages multi-asset, global equity, and fixed income ETF strategies for financial advisors and institutions. He helps write the firm’s monthly Insights which has over 25,000 subscribers, is a frequent guest on CNBC and Bloomberg TV, and is regularly quoted in leading publications like Barron’s, Financial Times, and The Wall Street Journal. Mr. Bernstein has over 40 years' experience on Wall Street, most recently as the Chief Investment Strategist at Merrill Lynch & Co. Prior to joining Merrill Lynch in 1988, he held positions at E.F. Hutton and Chase Econometrics/IDC.

      Mr. Bernstein currently sits on the Hamilton College endowment’s Investment Committee and is a trustee of Hamilton College and was formerly a chair of the Alfred P. Sloan Foundation endowment’s Investment Committee. He is also a member of the Journal of Portfolio Management’s Advisory Committee and former adjunct faculty of the NYU/Stern Graduate School of Business. Rich and his wife, Christine, endow numerous college and university scholarships designated for under-represented students interested in business and STEM.

      Rich holds an MBA in finance, with Beta Gamma Sigma distinction, from New York University, and a BA in economics from Hamilton College. He has lectured on finance and economics at numerous colleges, universities and professional forums.
