At last
According to Ferghana.ru, the bodies of the missing Nurbank managers, Mr. Joldas Timraliev and Mr. Albar Hasenov, have been found. They have been missing since January. According to the same report, DNA testing was used to verify identity. Both officials showed the marks of torture. Mr. Rakhat Aliev, former-son-in law of President Nursultan Nazarbaev, had allegedly tortured these officials in order to achieve title transfers and information about fund transfers. On June 18th of this year, Kazakhstan reconstructed events sufficiently to warrant Mr. Aliev's arrest on suspicion of charges.
On June 18, five suspects were arrested in connection with the case. Mr. Aliev had been arrested earlier in June in Austria, but was released on bail within Vienna. His extradition has not yet been accomplished.
