About the Speaker
Ms. Mallory Stewart is the chief executive officer of the Council on Strategic Risks (CSR), a leading organization focused on anticipating and addressing emerging global security challenges. She previously served as assistant secretary for Arms Control, Deterrence, and Stability at the U.S. Department of State, and as senior director for Arms Control, Disarmament, and Nonproliferation at the National Security Council. Her expertise spans weapons of mass destruction law and policy, missile defense, nuclear deterrence, outer space security policy, and the risks posed by emerging technologies including artificial intelligence. Earlier in her career, she held senior national security positions at Sandia National Laboratories where she led the Co-operative Monitoring Center in its efforts to facilitate scientific engagement for global security. She earned her BA from Harvard College and a JD from Stanford Law School.
