Please join the Foreign Policy Association for a book launch on Thursday, June 11th, 2026 at the SUNY Global Center. We will be joined by Dr. Nicholas Rostow, Director, Center for Strategic Research, National Defense University, and Senior Research Scholar at Yale Law School, to talk about his new book Proportional to the Mischief: International Law and U.S. Grand Strategy. Copies of Proportional to the Mischief will be available for purchase after the lecture. The lecture will take place at 6:00 pm with a reception and book sale to follow.

Nicholas Rostow is an American lawyer and foreign policy expert who has held senior roles in the U.S. government, including serving as Legal Adviser to the U.S. Mission to the United Nations and as a senior official on the National Security Council. He has also had a distinguished academic career, teaching international law and diplomacy at institutions such as Yale Law School, and remains an influential voice on international legal and security issues.
