How do international efforts to curtail Iran’s development of nuclear weapons echo on the Korean Peninsula? What are the implications for North Korea’s nuclear weapons development? And how does the U.S.-ROK strategic partnership address these concerns? His Excellency Kim Young-mok, ROK Consul General to New York, appears in conversation with Ambassador Mark Minton, The Korea Society President, and presents his perspectives on non-proliferation and steps forward for peace. Ambassador Kim previously served as Korea’s Ambassador to Iran and with the Korean Peninsula Energy Development Organization (KEDO), making him uniquely qualified to address the nexus of Iran and North Korea concerns and U.S., ROK and international responses.
All FPA members are invited to attend at a discounted rate of $10. To register, please contact Nikita Desai, Assistant Director of Policy by e-mail at [email protected] or call 212-759-7525 ext. 355.
