The Forein Policy Association confers The Foreign Policy Association Medal upon the Museum of Modern Art, which will be accepted by Glenn D. Lowry, Director of the Museum of Modern Art.
Speaking at a symposium sponsored by MoMA’s International Council on May 12, 1955, one of America’s foremost diplomats, George F. Kennan, observed that “In the creation of beauty and in the great monumental works of the intellect, and there alone, human beings have been able to find an unfailing bridge between nations.” For its outstanding contribution to cultural diplomacy, the Foreign Policy Association takes great pride in presenting the Foreign Policy Association Medal to The Museum of Modern Art.
