Many of you are still winding down the Christmas holiday and already jumping into the New Year festivities, while others are continuing to celebrate the Holiday season with their loved ones. Regardless, I do hope that you have not found yourself too engrossed in the holidays to take time to notice the little miracles that surround us everyday. To look into a child’s eyes and see the wonderment that they see, to see what one really feels when they are blessed with the spirit of giving, and to see the joy in a child’s eyes as they receive the smallest of gifts. The true miracles of the holiday season are not wrapped in ribbon and bows, they are joys one finds among family and friends, the sound of children laughing, the thought of not knowing your alone…so share the miracles of the season with someone.
While the celebrations of holiday season are coming to an end let us not forget that the spirit of the season is one that should follow us throughout the year regardless of your religious beliefs. Therefore take this time as we prepare to go into the new year and look around at all who are in need to see where you can lend a helping hand, or simply a smile, to someone today and tomorrow. It is now a time of reflection on the year gone by and the year to come, which leaves us in the perfect position to begin to think of our New Years resolutions. Remember while we sit to do our list of resolutions growth and change for good begins within ourselves and our ability to think of others with first.
