Great Decisions at St. Norbert College -WI
DE PERE — Art Cyr, director of the A.W. Clausen Center for World Business at Carthage College, will talk about U.S. trade policy as part of the Great Decisions Lecture Series next month on the St. Norbert College campus.
Cyr will speak at 7:30 p.m. April 2 in the Fort Howard Theater of the F. K. Bemis International Center.
Cyr has a Ph.D. in political science from Harvard University and served as president of the Chicago World Trade Center Association, vice president of the Chicago Council on Foreign Relations, faculty member and administrator at the University of California, Los Angeles and executive at the Ford Foundation. He is also the author of four books and numerous articles that have appeared in professional journals and the popular press.
Cyr will talk about the foreign policy tool of “economic statecraft” and the benefits of democracy and the free market.
